The Place for Model-A Ford Carburetors

Not only do you need to recognize a Zenith, Model A carburetor, you need to be able to spot defects that can make one nearly worthless.

Defects To Look For

  • Observations that suggest that a carburetor is NOT a good candidate for purchase: Broken off or welded top flanges. Cracks in castings. Particularly look around Gas Adjusting Valve and fuel inlet areas. Heavy build up of welds or "JB Weld" to repair breaks or crack.
